Google Photos “Personal Folders” feature is available on all current Android smartphones As promised, Google is starting to roll out the Personal Folders feature to third-party Android smartphones. The idea behind “Private Folders” is to keep your most personal photos away from the main set of images and also make them available offline. Until now, this feature was only available on Pixel 3 and later devices, but it’s now rolling out to older Pixel models, among other things. Users have been calling the “Personal Folder” the “nudity folder” since it was unveiled at Google IO 2021 in May. Whether you have these or other sensitive photos, the app stores them in a password-protected or biometric-coded location so that kids, friends or others don’t accidentally stumble upon them. To use the feature, simply launch Google Photos, go to the “Library” section, and then to the “Utilities” section at the top. Click on it and a feature setting card will appear on the screen if you have installed the Google Photos update around November 29th.
